Liane Wychreschuk is an architect with Brook McIlroy and holds a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University and a Bachelors of Environmental Design from the University of Manitoba. She has 13 years of experience working on projects throughout Manitoba, including in rural northern communities such as Churchill, Manitoba. She serves as the Chair of the Manitoba CAGBC Leadership Board and applies her professional insights to improving the environmental impacts of all building types, new and existing, as a method of combating climate change and improving community resilience.

Liane is a leader in the industry on high-performing, healthy green buildings, homes and communities throughout Canada. She continues to push for innovation in the design of sustainable buildings and has been a design leader for eight projects achieving all levels of LEED Certification. She works with communities, clients, and owners to translate their visions and needs into multi-functional spaces that can evolve over time.

Working with diverse communities in a thoughtful manner has been a focus of her practice. Examples of this approach at Brook McIlroy have included the Rainy River K-12 School Consolidation Renovation and Addition and the University of Manitoba Centre for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. She takes special care to incorporate meaningful pieces of history in the design of community spaces to engage future generations with their living local history.
