The process of city-building is a long one, engaging designers, politicians, city staff, and the public in many rounds of decision-making. Brook McIlroy played a critical role in this process for the City of Hamilton with its Master Plan design for Pier 8, creating the bones for this landscape architecture competition for Promenade Park.
In his article for the Globe and Mail, Alex Bozikovic credits Brook McIlroy’s plan and celebrates the City of Hamilton’s efforts: “This is how public spaces and public buildings should come together; and this is what city-building should look like.”
Brook McIlroy congratulates comptetition winners Forrec Ltd., and looks forward to the future of Pier 8!
