Zhongwei Shi is an Associate and a Senior Urban Designer/Planner with diverse international experience in architecture and urban planning for projects in Canada, the United States, Russia, and China. He received a Bachelor of Architecture from Tianjin University and a Master of Urban Planning from McGill University.
In thirteen years at Brook McIlroy, Zhongwei has been a key designer on many important, long-term architecture and planning projects in the firm’s portfolio, including mobility hub studies, residential intensification and development plans, community master plans, university master plans, urban design guidelines, and secondary plans. With his combined professional and educational experience in architecture and urban design, Zhongwei can propose efficient design solutions at an urban scale which are practical and workable at an architectural scale.
Prior to working at Brook McIlroy, Zhongwei worked with planning firms and architectural firms in Canada and China on a broad range of urban, suburban, and regional projects for both private and public sector clients.
