Shiying Gao is an Intern Architect at Brook McIlroy with a Master of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies from the University of Toronto. Her interest in the role of architecture as a mediator between our cities and the natural environment has led to Shiying’s advocacy for sustainability and incorporation of nature throughout all project phases.
Shiying has worked on several commercial and civic projects in China prior to her time at Brook McIlroy. At the firm, Shiying plays an integral role within the team, assisting with the development of key projects such as 130 Adelaide West, the University of Winnipeg Library redevelopment, and the Bingwi Neyaashi Anishinaabek Elders Complex. Shiying brings strong graphic and visual talent to the firm through her professional graphic and stage design work experience.
