Jocelyn Lambert Squires is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Brook McIlroy. In her role managing the firm’s communications, she investigates the stories behind the firm’s work and translates from the designers to the public. She guides many aspects of business development, crafting proposal documents and helping to maintain relationships with clients and the public. Outside of the office, Jocelyn has worked extensively as a researcher, editor, and writer for architecture publications. Her most notable work includes her role as researcher for the recently published Toronto Architecture: A City Guide, by Alex Bozikovic and Patricia McHugh, as well as her position as editor on the 2018 OAA Awardspublication produced by Canadian Architect. She has contributed as a writer to Canadian Architectand as a text editor for the European publication Architecture Observer.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Reed College, Portland, and a Master of Architecture from the University of Toronto. Her Masters thesis focused on the spatial properties of light and how light can affect the perception of space. Jocelyn has made significant contributions to the architecture community through her work for the Toronto Society of Architects and her volunteer work with the Ontario Association of Architects.
