Erik Sziraki is a graduate of the University of Waterloo and a licensed architect with over 20 years of experience in a diverse range of markets and building types. He has been a key member of projects ranging widely in scope and size. A firm believer in optimizing project outcomes to suit building owner budget and expectations, Erik enjoys discovering and developing design strategies to suit a diversity of project challenges. He is an advocate of the demystification of architecture through visually accessible means and is a proponent of streamlining the delivery process through Building Information Modeling.
As an early adopter of BIM technology, he has a breadth and depth of experience leveraging the platform. Erik is passionate about environmentally progressive solutions and has been involved in several high-profile projects that have been recognized for their contributions to sustainable strategies. Prior to joining Brook McIlroy, Erik lived and worked abroad in both Australia and Chicago. He previously held registration as an architect in Australia and is currently licensed as an architect in the United States and Canada. He has a diverse range of experience in a broad spectrum of project types, most notably complex institutional buildings. Notable past projects include the Queensland University of Technology Creative Industries Precinct, Queen Elizabeth II Law Courts, Niche 905 Luxury Apartments, and the Trafalgar Park Community Centre and Fire Station.
