University of Winnipeg Announces Centennial Library Renewal

The renewal of the University of Winnipeg’s 50-year old Centennial Library will be an inclusive, accessible, light-filled space that updates the library to contemporary needs for learning. Led by Principal Ryan Gorrie, Director of the Indigenous Design Studio, the library will feature cultural preservation and will weave Indigenous ways of knowing throughout spaces and wayfinding. The project will add 13,000 square feet of space to the building and will adapt the current building to best practices in accessible and sustainable design, creating a forward-thinking building for future generations.

The University of Winnipeg has posted a digital tour of the facilities, accessible on the Library Renewal Information Page.
