Richard Gillies is an architect with a broad range of international experience, having worked for years in Tanzania, Australia, and New Zealand before returning home to Canada. Richard has been involved with school, healthcare, residential, mining, retail, commercial office, and community centre projects. From this experience, gained both through working and travelling, he has developed a growing interest in urban design issues and regional building practices. He holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Lakehead University and a Master of Architecture from Dalhousie University.
His experience with Brook McIlroy includes leading the contract administration of a high school renovation project. He has also contributed to other education projects, conceptual designs, and feasibility studies. Richard brings a creative and problem-solving eye to all aspects of his work.
