Oscar Lam is a Planner with Brook McIlroy. Oscar’s professional goal is to use his multidisciplinary background to introduce dynamic planning solutions for vibrant communities. Since joining Brook McIlroy, Oscar has been responsible for a variety of planning and urban design projects including urban design briefs, master/block plans, avenue segment studies, urban design guidelines, planning rationales and witness statements. He is also involved with planning applications for Official Plan, Site Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments. Oscar holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from Ryerson University in Toronto and is currently an OPPI Candidate member.
During his studies, Oscar had the opportunity to participate in client-based studios with Toronto City Planning where his team developed a design study for an integrated multi-modal transit station. He has also worked with Program Management Third Party at Metrolinx in supporting the capital delivery of the Regional Express Rail program. While at Metrolinx, he was additionally engaged with property acquisitions, new stations work groups, GIS spatial analysis and planning approvals.
