Albertus Viljoen is an Intern Landscape Architect with Brook McIlroy, holding a Bachelor (Honours) and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Pretoria. Prior to working at Brook McIlroy, he was part of the project design team as a landscape architect for the Steyn City Parkland Estate development in Johannesburg, noted at the time as the largest development of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Albertus is passionate about the environment and strives to find a means to creatively marry the ecological essence of the world we live in, to create spaces where nature and people both thrive.
At Brook McIlroy, Albertus plays a key role in the design and management of landscape and urban design work in Thunder Bay and Northern Ontario. He is working on the transit upgrades to McGillivray Square, Westgate C &VI, Rainy River, Thunder Bay Art Gallery, Magnus Parkette and various projects for the Lakehead District School Board.
